Shrub is a fruit syrup consisting of a fruit concentrate (in the respective flavor) as well as apple cider vinegar and sugar. That's it, nothing more and that's a good thing, because there are no sweeteners, added or artificial flavors, for example. The syrup is also naturally acidified thanks to the apple cider vinegar, which is associated with all sorts of positive effects on health.
Diluted with ice-cold, sparkling mineral water, the shrub transforms! into a delicious lemonade. If the mineral water is replaced with sparkling wine or Prosecco, a fruity aperitif is created. In addition to being used as a natural fruit syrup, the shrubs can also be used to refine salad dressings. Lambs lettuce goes particularly well with this. You can also add a fruity note to desserts, such as a panna cotta or cake, for example in the cream or cake icing.
